Will You Join Us in Charlotte for Summer Meeting?

Equality Federation Institute’s annual Summer Meeting is the premier gathering of state-based and national LGBT movement leaders. More than 160 advocates from across the country gather to connect and forge relationships, collaborate for future success and build momentum toward even greater wins in the communities we call home.

But don't just take our word for it. Let Federation member Bernard Cherkasov of Equality Illinois tell you why you should attend this year's Summer Meeting:

As the CEO of Equality Illinois, I am excited to invite you to join me at Equality Federation Institute's Summer Meeting in Charlotte, NC this July!

I attend every year and find it immeasurably valuable to connect with my peers in other states to learn from what they've achieved and get updates about what's going on around the country. My team members find it incredibly useful too - they are able to receive and share tangible tips with others working in their field, from fundraising to policy and advocacy.

Each year, Summer Meeting brings together the sharpest minds and the most strategic players in the movement for LGBT equality. This year more than 160 state leaders, national advocates, and funders from across the country will gather in Charlotte, North Carolina from July 22 -25. Click here for details.

In Illinois, we're working on 12 bills right now: banning conversion therapy, hate crimes legislation, addressing workplace bullying, and more. It can get exhausting, and I find that gatherings like this are a great way to re-energize and recommit to the work!

You may not think you have anything new to learn at the Meeting but I am delightfully surprised each year, whether in a plenary or over lunch, to discover a new skill or something about our movement I hadn't known before.

What's more, Federation members receive a special registration discount if you bring several people. Reserve spots for 6 or more, and registration is only $175 per person. For 3-5 attendees, registration is $200 per person. This members-only discount won’t last forever so register today!

See you in Charlotte!

P.S. In addition to the workshops and plenaries, I look forward to seeing you at a fun, evening social event or two! Click here to register now.
