VICTORY: Nebraska's Same-Sex Marriage Ban Lifted!
On Monday, March 2nd, U.S. District Judge Joseph Bataillon ruled Nebraska's ban on same-sex marriage to be unconstitutional calling it an "unabashedly gender-specific infringement of the equal rights of its citizens." Read the ruling here (.pdf). Nebraska state officials have appealed the ruling to the 8th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Couples will be able to marry on Monday, March 9th.
