The Federation Launches Our New Fairness Project Site

November 19, 2014

Equality Federation is pleased to announce the launch of our brand new resource - the Fairness Project site.

While 29 states across the country still lack statewide nondiscrimination protections for LGBT individuals -- and another three lack protections based on gender identity and expression -- there are hundreds of local communities where state-based leaders have successfully pushed for municipal protections.

The Fairness Project site is a place to celebrate these triumphs, and share experiences and resources to win many more.

Click here to learn about current nondiscrimination campaigns in the community you call home.

Through our Nondiscrimination Support Project, we've created a site dedicated to sharing tools and resources about LGBT nondiscrimination protections at the state and local level.

Much of the material that you will find on this site was developed by and for state-based movement leaders, and it is this work that we aim to highlight and share with others.

From state-specific maps to recent news, the Fairness Project site has a multitude of materials about the ongoing state-based work to achieve nondiscrimination protections for the LGBT community.

On the site, you will find:

  • an interactive map detailing current nondiscrimination protections for each state;
  • information on local ordinance protections at the city and county level;
  • nondiscrimination facts and statistics; and,
  • news regarding campaigns for the passage of protections at the local-and-statewide level.

More than ever, the Federation is committed to supporting the work to bring true equality to our community. We hope you’ll join us as we work together to achieve full, lived equality for all.
