Member Resource: Give OUT Day 2015 Webinars - Raise Money for Your Organization!

March 10, 2015

Raising money for your organization can be a real challenge, especially when only a small percentage of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer community gives to an LGBTQ cause. But donations, no matter how big or small, are critical for nonprofit LGBTQ organizations to thrive. To help these organizations raise critical funds, Bolder Giving created Give OUT Day, a national initiative that aims to mobilize thousands of donors across the country on one day in May to give in support of the LGBTQ nonprofit community.

The 3rd annual national Give OUT Day will be held on May 21, 2015. Over the past two years, Give OUT Day helped raise over $1.6 million for over 500 LGBTQ organizations from all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico, including several Federation members.

Bolder Giving sponsors Give OUT Day and handles all the logistics: building and maintaining the giving platform, raising prize money, generating media attention, and supporting all the organizations engaged in fundraising as part of the day. Participating organizations use the energy and excitement of this unique opportunity to transition their supporters into donors.

So how does your organization get involved? Bolder Giving has created a series of webinars to help you create a successful Give OUT Day campaign.

The first webinar, held on March 4th, taught the “ins and outs” of registering your organization to participate. Click here to view the webinar, or here to register your organization before April 30th.

In the upcoming weeks, the remaining webinars will teach you everything from designing your Give OUT Day webpage to engaging volunteers. All sessions will be recorded and posted to the Give OUT Day Nonprofit Toolkit after they are complete. Sessions are on Wednesdays at 4pm Eastern and all are free. Click on the specific session in the lineup below to view:

Make sure to register your organization for these informative webinars, the next one Wednesday at 4pm ET.

Equality Federation will be participating for the first time in Give OUT Day this year, and will actively promote and cheerlead our members who are participating as well!
