Last Chance to Sign Up for The Management Center Training at Summer Meeting 2014

July 15, 2014

Summer Meeting 2014 is just a few weeks away, and we only have a few spots left for Wednesday’s FREE crash course in the basics of effective management.

With support from Arcus Foundation, we’re bringing in our friends from The Management Center to share their Managing to Change the World training with Summer Meeting participants. Whether you’re managing an entire organization, supervising just one other employee, or hoping to be in a non-profit management role in the future, this training is for you.

Registration for this training is required, and the last day to sign-up is Monday, July 21. Make sure you don’t miss out on this great opportunity — reserve your spot now!

A few weeks ago, several members of our Federation team had a chance to attend the Management Center’s Managing to Change the World training. Although each of us has years of management experience under our belts, we still found it incredibly valuable.

Federation staffers Fran Hutchins and Roey Thorpe can’t say enough about the invaluable skills they learned in this fast-paced course.

“The Management Center training was the opposite of boring. No long lectures or read-along power points here — we would learn, discuss, and put what we learned into action right away. We learned how to hack our organization's culture to make everyone feel more productive and effective.”

"The trainer really understands social justice organizations, and it shows. What you learn applies equally to larger as well as smaller organizations, so it is beneficial to everyone. Even if you aren't a manager, the project management ideas are incredibly helpful. The advice is both super smart and very accessible, so you don't end up spending a bunch of time and bandwidth trying to save time and bandwidth."

Join us on Wednesday, July 30 — just before Summer Meeting officially starts that evening in beautiful Minneapolis. This training is free, but the last day to sign up is July 21st. Be sure to sign up now!
