Equality Federation Raised $27k on Give OUT Day!

August 3, 2016

Equality Federation is proud to have raised $22,369 from donors like you on Give OUT Day – August, 2nd. We won a second place prize of $5k for garnering the second most individual donors of the day bringing our grand total raised to $27,369.

Throughout the day our fundraising thermometer kept on rising as our staff, board, and volunteers all pitched in to ask their friends, family, and colleagues to contribute and help us win prize money. Stiff competition from Transgender Law Center kept us on our toes, and we congratulate them in winning the top prize!

Federation member Equality North Carolina won the top prize in the Southern Category and the Mid-Size Organization competition.

In support of our Give OUT Day campaign, Equality Federation held two well-attended LGBTQ mixers, one at Lyft HQ in San Francisco (photos) and one at Microsoft’s Innovation and Policy Center in Washington DC.

Big congrats to all the organizations who raised much-needed funds on Give OUT Day, and thank you to everyone who supported Equality Federation throughout the campaign!
