Oregon Says I Do is building a broad coalition of individuals and organizations to win the freedom to marry for same­-sex couples in Oregon. We believe marriage and family are about love and commitment, working together, bettering the community, raising children, and growing old together.

We believe in an Oregon that supports strong families and values freedom and equality. And we believe that marriage matters to all Oregonians.

Oregon Says I Do is now hiring canvassers to launch a door-­to-­door operation to support the campaign to win marriage for gay and lesbian couples on the ballot in November 2014.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contact a pre­determined list of voters by going door-­to­-door on a daily basis.
  • Identify supporters of marriage for gay and lesbian couples and mobilize them to sign a petition to place the question of marriage on the ballot.
  • Grow Oregon United's donor base by soliciting donations at the door.
  • Participate in daily office trainings and campaign updates in order to be well informed on the issue and on canvassing technique.
  • Support other Oregon Says I Do field and development programs, as needed.

COMPENSATION
Canvassers will be compensated $10 - ­$12 an hour. Benefits are not included.
