C. Scott (he/him) is a 5th grade teacher in Orange County, California, where he’s a proud and out educator. In addition to his responsibilities as an educator, Scott is the Co-Chair of both the CTA and NEA LGBTQ+ Caucuses, served for 12+ years as an Equality California Board member, and Human Rights Cadre trainer. Scott has served as an advisor for EQCA’s Safe & Supportive Schools Index, an advisor to both the California Department of Education’s online LGBTQ+ Resource website and the PRISM educator program. In addition, he served as a textbook reviewer following the passage of the CA FAIR Act and textbook adoption by the CA State School Board. Lastly, he serves as both a CTA and NEA Human Rights LGBTQ+ Cadre trainer.
